The original photograph of a Mangave ‘Bloodspot’ featured interesting lines but was otherwise somewhat dull. This piece goes beyond a traditional botanical documentarian rendering. The reds and greens of the original plant blend into a mixture of cool blues and warm golds, creating a surreal interpretation of form and color.
